The Jet Wins again at Western Speedway by Ken keating & Ott-Ray The OTRA night started with Rob Morneau returning driving Joe Dardengo"s Number 09 to fast time of a 18:27
B Dash saw Larry Joyce #22winning and the A Dash was won Tom Cinnamon #39. Ron Simpson had a rough start to his night as he hit the front stretch wall after the car in front of him checked up just before the green flag was to drop for the O.T.R.A. Heat race. This crash caused a lot of damage to the front of the #12 car and ended his night. George "The Jet" Jenson spun out about half way through the race and the cars following
all checked up causing a chain reaction pile up that included Tom Cinnamon and Robert Morneau. That heat was won by James Miller #71 The second heat race saw a good three way battle between Winner TomCinnamon#39 Rob Morneau #09 and George "The Jet"
Jenson #25 finishing One, two and three in only two car lengths. Kail Beck and James Miller had the front row
for the O.T.R.A. Feature event and Beck got the early lead until Miller passed him on lap three. On lap five George Jenson moved upto run second and then took the lead on lap eight dropping Miller back to second with Larry Joyce now running third. On lap eleven, James Campbell, always a top contender entered the pits with an apparent problem. On lap seventeen, Joyce passed Miller to take over the second spot and set his sites on Jenson. Dennis and Rob Morneau traded positions in the late stages of this race but it was Jenson who hung on for the win followed by Joyce, Rob Morneau, Roger Beck, and Miller rounding out the top five positions.
